Sorry for the delayed post...

Friday morning I saw a single Killdeer flying over snow covered fields
along St Rt 422 in Troy Twp. It was flying over the north field, crossed
the road (it flew in front of my car), and continued flying over the south
field.

I also had a Red-shouldered Hawk defending its territory (a.k.a. the area
around my house) from a Red-tailed Hawk. The Red-shouldered was very vocal
while chasing the Red-tailed, which left quietly and quickly. There is a
well-established Red-tailed territory on the adjacent property. Last year
there was a successful Red-shouldered nest somewhere nearby as I saw adults
daily, and an immature eventually appeared as well.
