Once again my search for Snow Buntings was unsuccessful. I drove the roads mentioned in a previous post during the subzero temps (Miller et al) as being bountiful in both Snow Buntings & Lapland Longspurs but found only small groups of Horned Larks. 

It was a good day for harriers: 4 total, 3 females & 1 beautiful male that was along Rt 22, seen on the way out then again on the return trip. Prob 1/2 dozen kestrels & at least that many Red-taileds incl a pair perched next to each other. 

Couldn't turn any of the white mounds of snow into a Snowy Owl...
