Remember, part of the reason why we are seeing a lack on posts in Feb and late Jan is simply a lack of rarities. With the conditions and deep freeze on the Lake and state, this has been one of the slowest and most inactive winters for birding that I can remember. Consider that last October and November this listserv was totally blowing up with rarity updates almost daily; weekly regularly. Action will return to the listserv as action returns with a thaw, migrants and a much-needed season change.

But inevitably, because of the ease of reporting to Facebook (and ease of posting photos there), they are more popular state-wide then this listserve.
