Ohio Wesleyan University is sponsoring a symposium on April 23 on
"Alexander Wilson and the Making of American Ornithology," celebrating the
200th anniversary of the completion of Alexander Wilson's monumental,
nine-volume American Ornithology, the first major scientific publication of
the young United States and the founding document of American ornithology.
