Two hulking owlets visible in the nest, eagle present. Waterfowl were
few in numbers, but included two horned and one eared grebe, the latter
in alternate plumage. Small flock of tree swallows. Except for
killdeers, all birds were separated and far off on the west side of the
quarry.
