Greetings - I've published a few photos of expired waterfowl/coots on our NNW blog. Many have seen the excellent article published by the Chicago Tribune regarding the struggle of wintering waterfowl on Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, Lake Erie wintering waterfowl have not been spared by the deep freeze. The sight is gut-wrenching to witness, even for those that fully understand "survival of the fittest" in all of its real and present natural beauty, necessity and utter brutality.
