Pete's Pond Preserve, part of Lake Metroparks in Wickliffe, Lake County, had large numbers of singing and displaying Red-winged Blackbirds this evening at around 5-6pm.
Also, forgot to post that last Sunday in Geauga County at Route 306 and 87 there was a flock of Turkey Vultures roosting in the pine trees near the intersection. Most I counted was 8, but likely more.
The weather certainly doesn't suggest spring, but the birds sure do!
