Ernie and I headed for Nimisila yesterday with the hopes of open water. We
were not disappointed, while there is still ice around there's also open
water. 3 ospreys around their usual nest areas and a bald eagle sat nice up
on a dead tree in the wind allowing for some photo ops. Lots of other
waterfowl including a common loon, hooded mergansers, ring necked ducks,
scaups, red heads, goldeneyes, American wigeons, red neck grebe, eared or
horned grebe (not sure which) and I'm sure some others I'm forgetting.

Happy Spring Birding,

Michele (Micki) Hendrick
