Late this p.m. at Clear Fork Reservoir was one red-throated loon, out from
the Sail Boat Club along route 97. Possibly a different loon than that seen
earlier in the week, since I had not seen it for a couple days.
One immature white-winged scoter out from the marina which made me watch it
for 20 minutes ( immature scoter ) before it finally stuck out a wing.
3 lesser black-backed gulls also present at the reservoir.
Another Richland County birder this p.m. had 4 LBBGs at a field at southern
Richland County amongst a throng of ring-billeds. How common are these
things going to get ??
Maybe the cold front coming thru tonight/tomorrow will drop some goodies in
our "laps".
Good birding,
John Herman
