Beachwood City Park was hopping w/ American Woodcocks tonight - we were
there between 8 - 8:30 p.m. We saw and heard birds both on the ground and
in the air.

There is a flat, marshy valley floor to the park on the Shaker Blvd. median
strip just east of Sulgrave Rd. (south side). If you take the paved trail
down to the path along the north side you'll find yourself just yards away
from peenting woodcocks. A good
flashlight and a bit of patience will probably result in fantastic views of
a bird or two.
