Are any southeast Ohio birders checking Newell's Run at Washington County
for red-necked grebes?
During 1994, when 100+ r. n. grebes, at 24 counties were reported in Ohio,
the location with the highest number of birds was Newell's Run with 28 on
14 February 1994.
So far, southwest Ohio is leading this spring with the most r. n. grebes.
They also have awesome numbers of white-winged scoters.
Good birding,
John Herman
