There were two Black Vultures right over I-71 at Mill Stream Run Reservation in Strongsville, this afternoon. I'm always leery of 'birding-by-highway' reports, but these birds were literally right over head & low - unmistakable. Definitely seeing a northward push involving this species in recent years.
Also on my drive, I spotted ~15 Broad-winged Hawks & a couple sharpies rising from woodlots along the interstate, as the warm front burst on the scene. I headed straight to the lake, hoping to catch an awesome Broad-winged flight, but i had no luck locating any flight line or decent-sized kettle. One migrant Peregrine was the highlight.
