My wife Jane reports our first-of-season ruby-throated hummingbird,
yesterday at our farm on Flint Ridge Rd. in western Muskingum County.

I will miss the spring season at home this year. I'm working at sea off the
Carolina Coast for the next three months or more, expecting, among other
things, to fill in some pelagic holes in my lifelist.
