I hiked from Sulphur Springs picnic area this morning. I saw a pileated
woodpecker go all the way into a cavity and stick its head out a few times.
I heard a brown creeper singing. I saw a broad-winged hawk soaring overhead.
And, there was a black-throated green warbler in the picnic area when I got
back to my car.

I also took a short walk near Squaw Rock and saw a red-tailed hawk in the
woods with a squirrel. It flew up to another hawk higher up in the trees.
They both flew off over the Chagrin River towards Quarry Rock. I think there
is a nest just east of that area. It was nice to see the big hawks up-close
like that.
