At last...a good week in the gardens! No snow and warmer temps and TWO
hermit thrushes have been here for a few days! We still have a couple of
white-throated sparrows and dark-eyed juncos hanging around as well as a
yellow-bellied sapsucker, northern flicker, red-bellied and downy
woodpeckers, mourning doves(aka hawk food), song sparrows, American robins
trying to build a nest on our side door(not working out, even though a
nesting shelf is two feet away), northern cardinal, red-winged blackbird,
common grackle, house finch, goldfinch, Stoopid starlings and I'm sure I'm
forgetting something...other that the house sparrows!
