There was a Sanderling and 3 Dunlin on the beach at Caesar Creek today.

Also, Jason Sullivan and I watched a smallish loon from the end of Harveysburg road, at a distance of about 1/2 mile. The loon looked smaller than a Common Loon (3 of which were also present, but never near it) and was in winter plumage. Overall it seemed darker than a Red-throated, without enough white on the face. However with the overcast, sometimes drizzling, early evening light, we could not conclusively ID it. The overcast sky might have contributed to the loon looking darker than it was.
