I birded the morning hours today around where Strouds Run enters Dow Lake. I was early enough to hear a Barred Owl calling into the songbird morning concert, which was dominated by Northern Cardinals. Almost four hours yielded 34 species, including a FOS Green Heron, Eastern Phoebe, White-Eyed Vireo, Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and five warbler species: 2 Ovenbird (FOS, heard only), 2 Louisiana Waterthrush (FOS, heard only), 1 American Redstart, 1 Northern Parula, and 1 Yellow-throated Warbler (heard only). The full list is at:

Happy birding--
