I saw a common loon in the east end of the lake today at about 12:30 pm.

There were four male buffleheads chasing two females at the west end of the
lake. The ducks would make small circular flights low over the water chasing
each other. Really beautiful markings on them.

I saw a red-tailed hawk carrying nesting material from the small island to
the woods nearby.

Other sightings: Two brown creepers, two killdeer, two hooded mergansers,
two tree swallows.
