Lakeview cemetery, on the edges of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland, looks beautiful in Captain America 2: the Winter Soldier, and it's also a quiet, productive birding spot.

A short chilly walk provided:

Hermit thrush
Bicknells thrush
Northern flickers
White-throated and chipping sparrows
Green heron
Northern rough-winged swallows
Palm and yellow-rumped warblers
Ruby-crowned kinglets
American crow
Turkey vulture
Mallards
Canada goose
and robins, robins everywhere

Deb Smith
