Yesterday I saw a phoebe fly out from a cliff underneath a waterfall along
the Buckeye Trail between the Alexander Road bike path and Canal Road. I
heard they like to nest in those spots. I heard a field sparrow in the field
near the bike path. I saw a hunting coyote in the field. I spotted a
Question Mark butterfly in the woods. I recorded 12 golden-crowned warblers
while hiking along the trail.

This morning I heard and saw a chipping sparrow near Gorge Overlook in
Bedford Reservation. There was a pair of red-breasted mergansers fishing in
Tinkers Creek near Dunham Road.
