Today was spectacular. I spent the morning at my yard in North Perry.
There were some really good numbers of birds flying over. I had 126
Baltimore orioles in only a couple hours. There were 4,500 goldfinches in
the same time span. Both orioles and goldfinches continued to move but I
didn't get a chance to count. At my feeders I had 14 orchard orioles at one
time and 11 Baltimore orioles. This was clustered around just one feeder.
I had well over 100 goldfinches feeding in the grass at one time. Other
good numbers were 6 pine siskins, 12 Lincoln's sparrows, 9 ruby-throated
hummingbirds, and 70 gray catbirds.

I ended up with a dozen or so warblers with single worm-eating and
orange-crowned. Also of note were whip-poor-will and white-eyed vireo.
Surprising was there were not a lot of blue jays moving. Tomorrow should
also be good.
