The breeding plumage American Avocet found yesterday morning, Saturday, was still present a short time ago at 5:15PM today, Sunday. It was most recently seen by Ronnie Macko and Shari Jackson. Numerous birders saw this beautiful bird today. The previously described location is on SR269, one mile south of SR2, or a half mile north of US6. The celebrity visitor is on the west side of the road in the back of a flooded field, just south of a ponderosa like house. Use caution when viewing. SR269 is a dangerous highway.

Bob Lane / Mahoning County, Ohio
