I was at the lake Erie Bluffs Property yesterday doing some survey work in the area south of the Clark Road parking lot. There are no defined trails in this section and it is very wet. The area I was in was overgrown with lots of brambles. It was very birdy though yesterday. There was a north wind off the lake so there was not along the lakefront. Once you got into the sheltered brushy areas there were a lot of warblers and thrushes.
Birds of note yesterday were a singing Connecticut warbler, prairie warbler, 2 mourning warblers, and 15 warblers seen. Other birds of note were olive-sided flycatcher, 2 Wilson's snipe, 5 alder flycatchers, 20-30 willow flycatchers, yellow-bellied flycatcher, and Philadelphia vireo. the birds were just scattered throughout the area. you have to rely on hearing to pick up a lot of them.
For directions see lakemetroparks.com .
