After a lovely week in Cape May NJ enjoying the shorebird/horseshoe crab spectacle on the Bayshore as well as some nice spring surprises such as Miss Kite & even a drake Com Eider, I returned to Clr Crk to find summer settling in.

Some casual late morning birding turned up (seen) TN, Am Redstart, Hooded, Com YT, Yellow-throated; (heard) blue-winged, B&W, Prairie, N Parula, Ovenbird, Blk-thr Green, Yellow, & Cerulean warblers plus a Chat. Pretty sure I heard a Worm-eating also but it only "sang" briefly.

Nice look at a male Scarlet Tanager that was chik-brring. Heard Brown Thrasher, Y-B Cuckoo & Willow FC. Saw/heard Acadian FC. I briefly saw another Empid that had a yellow-washed breast that I wanted to turn into a Yellow-bellied FC but would prefer a better look. Did not hear it call. Great-crested FC.

Wood Thrushes seen & heard. Did not hear Veery as I had 2 wks ago.

Woods r definitely quieter.
