> Late report -but I received news that there was a large raptor migration over Interstate 90 from the Pennsylvania line to Cleveland. I was told this by a friend who was heading to Cleveland Airport. He did not have time to stop to view the raptors but saw what was a low flight from within his vehicle. Undoubtedly the raptors were utilizing the thermals generated off the Interstate highway and pushed inland by strong wind from the north. Monday April 28th the Ripley (NY) Hawkwatch (located near the Lake Erie shoreline) observed 2,572 migrating Broad-winged hawks, 27 Bald Eagles and 7 Ospreys.
