Pretty much the same breeding warbler species at clear creek again this weekend. Hilts were a likely family grp of 3 La Waterthrushes skipping along the stream on the hemlock trail sat afternoon. Lots of curious ovenbirds & Hoodeds chipping & perching up in the same area as well as singing worm-eatings, B&Ws, & Blk-thr greens. Ceruleans & n parulas heard also. Good shows by Am redstarts too.

Had great looks again at Kentucky warbler on the prairie warbler trail. Looked like it was carrying food.

Did have great looks at both a female then a male scarlet tanager after only hearing an occ "chik-brr".

While I've heard Barred Owl several times at Clr Crk, I've not seen one except for a predawn flyover on a CBC before today. I briefly caught sight of one off the hemlock trail today, perched on a sandstone cliff. We stared at each other for a bit, then it flew silently deeper into the woods. Wonderful.

Did add what is likely to be my last OH warbler for awhile: great looks at a couple Canada Warblers at conkle's hollow. Many thx to James Fry for the tip who heard about it from Paul Knoop. Despite the noisy Sunday crowds & noontime heat, they were singing/chipping & putting on a nice show, if brief. Beautiful area.

I'm headed back to AZ the end of July but hope to return to oh sometime as I never did make it to Magee & surrounds.
