My wife Denise and I would like to put out an invitation to any birders from Ohio or Pennsylvania, to pay, what I guarantee to be a memorable visit, to "The Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center". We are the volunteer hosts tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, from 1PM to 5PM. We will give visiting birders a special behind the scenes tour. "The Center" has over 350 bird mounts in natural settings, everything from Great Gray Owl, to Sandhill Crane, to Passenger Pigeon, to Painted Bunting. Our mammal mounts include a full size Mountain Goat, full size Grizzly Bears, and a full size Mountain Lion, just to name a few. "The Center" also has numerous other exhibits related to nature plus Indian Artifacts. Beaver Creek State Park and the Wild and Scenic Little Beaver Creek and its three tributaries are nearby. The location is in southeastern Columbiana County at 12021 Echo Dell Road. To reach the site, follow SR7 about three miles north from the intersection with SR11, and follow the signs. If you have any questions, call me at 330-531-3127. Hope to see you there.
