I was watching out over our prairie watching the Gold Finch and Indigo Buntings feed on the seeds of a variety of plants. When I caught a glimpse of a brilliantly red colored bird on the edge of the prairie. Through the binoculars it looked like a Scarlet Tanager, when it flew it left no doubt red body, black wings and tail. Such a beautiful bird.
