Just returned from a BSBO volunteer picnic. As frequently happens, a
couple came to me and showed me a photo. It was of a Snowy Owl sitting on
a rooftop. I assumed that the photo had been taken last winter. Dan and
Barb Meyer told me they took the photo on July 24 on a building next to the
Wendy's near Potter Village shopping center in Fremont. They were told
about the bird by Tom Kashmer. As they watched and photographed the bird
it flew west towards an industrial area behind the shopping center. Paula
and I checked the area today on the way home but no luck. Maybe worth
watching the buildings and poles on the western side of Fremont. I am
encouraging them to send the photos to the records committee. This is only
the second summer record I have heard about in Ohio.

Tom
