4 Franklin's Gulls remained with the big gull flock on the beach at Alum Creek Lake yesterday morning, mostly sticking together in a small group among the 600+ Ring-bills and Herrings. Little else besides Kildeer graced the beach, but the nearby forest & meadows had a burst of later migrants, including many Blue Jays, 2 sapsuckers, 2-3 Ruby-cr.Kinglets, Swainson's Thrushes, 8 warblers (Tennesssee the most common, followed by Redstarts, Black-thr.Greens, Magnolias, ComYellowthroats, Black-thr.Blue, Yellow-rump, and Parula), and 5 sparrows (Field, Chipping, Song, Lincoln's, & White-throated), Raptor migration was minimal, with only 22 Turkey Vultures, 1 Sharpie, and 2 Red-tails in 2 hours at New Galena.
