Why are black-capped petrel, anhinga, Harris's hawk, red-necked stint,
Eurasian woodcock, ancient murrelet, Carolina parakeet, northern hawk owl,
boreal owl, black-backed woodpecker, red-cockaded woodpecker, Baird's
sparrow, violet-green swallow, boreal chickadee, black-headed grosbeak,
great-tailed grackle, Bicknell's thrush and green violetear not on the Ohio
ebird list when other species, including greater prairie chicken, leach's
storm petrel, great gray owl, boreal owl and black-billed magpie are on the
Ohio list via archival records?
Why include some species, using archival records, and not others using
archival records?
Thanks for the enlightenment.
John Herman
