I stopped by the Union County Reddish Egret location today, and as I started walking the gentleman who lives directly across the road flagged me down. He asked what everyone is coming there for...I was a little surprised no one had told him in the last couple of weeks. I explained the situation to him and we talked about the reservoir a bit. He said he was down in it when they were building it (and that their house has been covered in dust for three years due to the construction), and he visited this spring, after it was filled. He said he wished that it would be open to the public, and I agreed.

I didn't see the Reddish Egret (apparently it was over on the Delaware side), but I did see a couple of Sanderling, the first on eBird for Union County since 2005.
