I stopped by the sod fields west of the Kuhlwein Rd wetlands around 5pm,
and many of the birds had moved on or were over a small hill out of sight.

I had Short-billed Dowitchers, all three plovers, two Bairds Sandpipers,
lots of Pecs, Lesser Yellowlegs, Wilson's Snipe, but no Knot, Buffies, etc.

Best time to check these and other muddy fields is during and right after
rains, which ground daytime migrants like shorebirds.

Best,
Paul Hurtado
