DCBC PROGRAMS FOR AUTUMN

September 22nd: “Ohio Wildlife Center’s Educational Wildlife Ambassadors”, Darlene Sillick.

Join Darlene Sillick, an OWC 25 year educational raptor volunteer and meet some college interns and a high school student who are specially trained to handle the OWC raptors. Learn what our youth is doing to teach others about wildlife. There will be a live raptor presentation and educational and interactive PowerPoint. Please feel free to bring cameras to photograph these beautiful educational raptors as they are presented. Try to bring some children to this program! You will meet Caitlin McNaughton a junior at OWU and Stephen Bischoff a junior at Dublin Scioto High School, both trained to handle some of the birds.

The mission at Ohio Wildlife Center (OWC) is to foster awareness and appreciation for Ohio’s native wildlife. Founded in 1984 by Dr. Donald Burton, a few staff and many volunteers have admitted over 70,000 wild animals to the wildlife hospital on Billingsley Road and provided educational programs to over 1,000,000 at the Cook Rd educational facility and at public outreach programs. Staff and volunteers have responded to over 550,000 wildlife hotline calls. And proudly, over 650,000 hours have been donated by dedicated and passionate volunteers.

Visit our website to learn how you can help native wildlife by donating and or volunteering your time. www.ohiowildlifecenter.org <http://www.ohiowildlifecenter.org/>

Please plan to either make a monetary donation or bring some items from the OWC wish list on their website.
