I just talked with Steve Landes and I know this area well as I was born/raised in Richwood, OH. It is near Richwood, to the East and a little bit S. Taway Rd runs E out of Richwood and the bird is on a 'sky pond?' located near the E end of Taway Rd where it intersects with Mooney Road. This is just one block W of the Scioto River, and barely into Delaware County. There is a huge reservoir being constructed in this area.

For some/most of you, the easiest way to find Taway Rd will be off SR 4 (which runs between Marion and Marysville). Taway Rd intersects with SR 4 about half-way in between this towns. Go E on Taway and you'll find Mooney Road 'intersection' shortly. The bird/water area is in the SW corner of that intersection. Steve will likely remain there until others arrive.

See you there later... If/when accepted, this will become only the 2nd State record for this species.
