I spoke with Junior (I think it was Junior) last night, and he said they
were likely going to try and leave the remaining sorghum (or at least most
of it) until the birds left.

Please remember to sign their guest book if you visit! He said they had at
least 20 visitors on Tuesday night and about 30 last night.

BANDERS: For what it's worth, I suspect *these birds would be VERY easy to
get into mist nets* (it would be interesting to know ages and sexes, and
how many, etc.) so if anyone has the proper permits (anyone?) and
equipment, I suspect they could arrive early this evening and work out a
plan to set a mist net up and band them after all the birders have seen
and/or heard them. I'm not sure how frequently we get recaptures for this
species, but *I suspect that there aren't many opportunities to band Yellow
Rails mid-migration in Ohio!* I'm sure visitors wouldn't mind seeing the
birds in-hand either ;-)

Good Birding,
-Paul Hutado
