We've been trawling for about an hour for the egret with no luck, but did see the Great Egret spotted by several observers. While we were looking at it, we saw the Reddish Egret fly up from the Mooney and Taraway Rd pond. Distinctly saw the yellow lores in flight. The bird glided for a little while before landing on top of the reservoir and went out of sight. We're going to stake the mooney and Taraway Rd pond for a little while longer in hopes that it comes closer, but so relieved to have seen it!

Also, while walking through some tall grass on the roadside I flushed up a pair of Northern Bobwhite, a state first for me.
