Hello everybody: I just received a phone call from Junior Nisley, regarding his identification error of the Yellow Rails at his farm, in northern Knox County. Junior feels very embarrassed about the mis-identification. He asked me if I would post his apologies to all of you who made the effort to observe this rare species for Ohio (Junior has no access to a computer). The conclusion was that they were Button Quail. I explained to him that Ohio birders understand that this can happen, and no apology is necessary, but I know Junior, and I know it was bothering him. So I told him that I would post this note to all of you. Happy Birding, Don Plant, Mohican Country
