My wife Denise and I, would like to put out an invitation to the birding community, to come visit us in scenic Columbiana County this weekend. Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th are the final days of the season for The Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center. Our highlight of the weekend is the second annual Falconry Field Day Event on Saturday from 11AM to 4PM. Master Falconer, Mick Brown, will have his three magnificent Harris's Hawks on display up close and personal. Several other falconers will also be present with their birds, to answer questions and demonstrate training techniques . "The Center" will be open both days from 10AM to 5PM. Adding to the enticement of a visit, is the fact that The Pioneer Days Event at Beaver Creek State Park is also going on both days. There will be plenty to see and do. Over 380 bird and mammal mounts in natural settings are on display at "The Center", including everything from Passenger Pigeon to Painted Bunting, and Great Gray Owl. Down the hill in the valley of The Wild And Scenic Little Beaver Creek, is a wonderful historic village restoration including an operating grist mill. "The Center" can be found at 12798 Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, Ohio; at the entrance to Beaver Creek State Park. This is about three miles north of the intersection of SR11 and SR7. Follow SR7 to Bell School Road. Turn east and follow the signs to Echo Dell Road, turn left and go a short distance to "The Center" on the right. Hope to see you there. We guarantee you will take home unforgettable memories
