Note: this posting shares a comment I just made on Facebook, but the
information applies here as well.

Congratulations on this bird, Margaret, and whomever else got to see it. I
may try tomorrow. I checked Trautman (The Birds of Buckeye Lake, Ohio,) and
you may be right about the Licking County first record as well. He lists
the species as a very rare transient, with two records, on November 2, 1929
near Sellars Point (now called Seller's Point for some reason,) and again
on October 28, 1930 near Liebs Island. Both of these locations are in Perry
County. In both cases the birds were shot, as was the common practice of
the 20s and 30s, the first by a hunter as Milt Trautman and Charles Walker
approached, the second "collected" by Trautman himself. The birds were
scientifically examined, sexed (one each,) the skins prepared, and the
stomach contents of at least one examined (remnants of beetles and
duckweed.)
