To those who might be interested in feeder watching northern finches, the
Cornell Lab of Ornithology sponsored website of the southern Ontario (near
Thunder Bay north of Lake Superior) is back on line again this year.
So far have only seen 3 Blue Jays and up to 1 dozen Evening Grosbeaks (at
once) but other species are sure to come now that they have a couple of
inches of snow on the ground.
The address is http://cams.allaboutbirds.org/channel/38/FeederWatch_Cam/
Also if you are interested, the Lab can always use financial support for
their wonderful efforts in ornithological research and getting said
information out to the public.
One can also participate in several of their programs as a good
Citizen-Scientist.
See http://www.allaboutbirds.org/Page.aspx?pid=1162 for more information.
Have a great day!
