Went to Headlands from Noon to 1PM. Had a lone Lapland Longspur in the
dunes close to the beach on the east end. Large raft of ducks; mostly
Ruddies with some Buffleheads mixed in. One Lesser Scaup further out.
One Robin/one Tree Sparrow and one Song Sparrow. Slim pickings!
Enjoyed the Longspur in spite of the wicked west wind. Before that I was
at Fairport Harbor. Several large rafts of ducks; mostly Ruddies and
Redheads with a few Scaup and Canvasbacks mixed in. One flock of 18
Snow Buntings seen. No unusual gulls noted. Two Greater Blackbacks on
the breakwall.
Sally Isacco, Chardon-Concord Twp.
