I spent part of the morning scouting parts of 3-Creeks Park in south Columbus for winter strays and late migrants.  I started at Heron Pond and biked up to the Oxbow area, then made a visit to nearby Elk Run.  Despite the cold, most water was ice-free, but I found nothing other than the expected Mallard & Canada Geese.  Landbirds were clumped in specific areas, and highlights included

Gray Catbird - 1 late bird was in the field just south of Oxbow
Horned Lark - had several flyovers at Heron Pond and Elk Run, possibly late migrants
BrownCreepers - fairly common here, with 1-2 at most stops
Hermit Thrush - 1 was in the huge honeysuckle thicket at Oxbow
Golden-cr.Kinglets - singles were at several spots along the Alum Creek greenbelt, possibly late migrants here
Tree Sparrows - small groups of 2-3 were in several of the fields along the greenbelt
Swamp Sparrow - 1 was with a flock of Song Sparrows around the edge of Heron Pond
White-throated Sparrows - the most common bird here, with flocks of 10-20 at many locations
