Not a very birdy time at Easy Fork SP but I did manage to get great looks
at a White-winged Scoter there. Spotted it from the beach but the bird was
hanging with Ruddy Ducks on the other side (defined as the side opposite
anyone with birding on their mind, apparently). I went over to the dam and
found the bird again with some Mallards and Black Ducks, who were then
flushed by a boat, affording great looks at the bird's brilliant white
secondaries. Only 27 species today but nice to see the scoter.
