I was at Villa Angela/Wildwood Parks on the east side of Cleveland today from 2:15pm to 5:15pm.  I parked along Lakeshore Blvd and walked along Euclid Creek and as I approached the woods in Wildwood and the wetland it became quite birdy with many sparrow (more than you normally see here) the west side of the creek and flying into the areas around the wetlands.  Many Song Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos, White-throated Sparrows and few American Tree Sparrows, Goldfinch all feeding in the grasses planted in the new areas.  One Fox Sparrow in bush west side of creek (saw one last weekend same area). One Ruby-crowned Kinglet on the west side of the creek flew to the wetland I could hear him singing in the wetland and he eventually flew back and continued to forage along grasses in prairie along creek.  One Peregrine Falcon flew west over park and still Horned Grebes in the creek with American Black Ducks.
In Villa Angela there were approx. seven Golden-crowned Kinglets, one Winter Wren, Juncos and five Fox Sparrows in the field foraging on the ground/snow around a pin oak tree near the fenceline of the recycling area that I watched for over 10 mins as the grasses in the field kept them from seeing me.  Largest group of Fox Sparrows I have seen this fall as I used to see more here earlier in past years.  Also one thrush I have concluded was a Hermit Thrush as the view was dismal feeding in a burning bush with red berries near the lake.
At Sims Park in Euclid from 1:15 to 2pm I saw only five female Black Scoters, five Ruddy Ducks, 10 Common Goldeneye, over 1500 Red-breasted Mergansers, three Common Loons and over 150 Horned Grebes.
