Tundra Swans were seen on South Bass Island today-about 40 at Chapman's Point and Jackie Taylor reported about 12 on the east side of the island near the Scheeff East Point Preserve. With marshes freezing on the mainland, their numbers should increase.

A large raft of mixed waterfowl-scaup, bufflehead, common goldeneye, with a few redheads mixed in were seen at the East Point turnaround. There were many horned grebes closer to shore.

Gale force winds are coming tonight! Will see what they bring us!
