I know this looks like I was crowding her, however my Christmas gift of a new Tamron 150/600mm lens allowed these images. I estimate that my distance at shots was at least 25’ and height of AK was 13’ It took me at least 20 minutes moving a couple of feet at a time letting it get comfortable with my movements. Thanks to the Birding Ohio Facebook page, I was fortunate enough to see a
snowy owl perched on a telephone pole roughly 1 mile west of Homerville on
US 224. The bird was there until at least 1:30. We also spotted a juvenile
harrier just south of 224 on Firestone Rd.
