Long-tailed Duck and Greater White-Fronted Geese (5). Knox County, south of Fredericktown, Christmas morning. Yesterday when I stopped at the Kokosing Convention Center, I noticed ducks and geese flying into a pond that was out of sight. This morning I investigated, and discovered about 250-300 ducks and a few geese at the Kokosing gravel pit off Cassell Road. GPS coordinates are 40.46772, -82.53605. The road is paved, but leads to a locked gate on the Kokosing property. However, there is a bike path leading north from this spot, and you can walk along the fence south to see the ducks and geese. The road is between Hyatt Road and Crestview Drive, off of Cassell Road south of Fredericktown.
