Today I found 2 long-tailed ducks at Deer Creek State Park. They were in
the inlet straight across from the state park beach. The inlet is between
the lodge and the Harding Cabin. The best place to see them is to take the
Harding Cabin road (D-1) off of Deer Creek Road on the northeast side of
the reservoir. I parked at the boat ramp and scoped the inlet. Also seen
were Black Vultures. Buffleheads, Ruddies, Lesser Scaup, Redheads, Am.
Coots, Bonies and Ring-billed Gulls.

On the south side of the reservoir, off Route 207 at D-9, there were over
1200 Mallards, Am. Black Ducks, No. Pintails, No. Shovelers, and a couple
of Common Mergansers.
