Around noon today the pond across the road from the gravel pit on the east
end of the Lancaster Rt 33 business loop has at least a half-dozen Mute
Swans as well as Tundra Swans among a mixture of Canada Geese and
assortment of diving ducks. Also Common Mergansers and a Coot. There are
around 40 swans total w/ the majority sleeping on the ice.
